Biography

On June 6th, 1990, in a hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, Vincent Luna Gallardo was born. His mother waited a little after midnight as to be allowed one more day of rest in the hospital before being booted out. He has little memory of Cleveland, as before he was one year old, his parents moved to sunny southern California since. They purchased a new house there, where Vincent grew up with Legos, a tape cassette player, and lots of video-tape recordings of Saturday morning cartoons. He lived off of bacon and rice, orange juice, and chasing the ice cream truck.

When Vincent was six, his parents enrolled him in a private grade school in Tustin, an hour away from home. For the cursory entrance examination, the kindergarten teacher asked him to stack up rectangular cardboard blocks into a tower. Without realizing it was a test, Vincent lined up the blocks across the floor, and lifted the entire stack vertical, like a statue being erected. He was immediately enrolled, and graduated there in 2004. Vincent made good friends, and knew the first and last names of his entire graduating class of under 50 total students.

From there, Vincent enrolled in a local private high school. There, he participated on the swim team for four years - swimming long-distance - and enjoyed anime club activities during the off-season. He graduated there in 2008, having been rejected from UCI and UCLA both, the two universities to which he was planning to attend.

Instead, Vincent attended a local community college, doing nothing but attending class, going home to study, and playing video games on the weekend. He completed his general education requirements there after two years, and received a letter of acceptance from UCLA. Vincent currently lives on-campus in UCLA, having since changed his major from Engineering to English. He plans to pursue a career as a teacher, and a writer in his free time. Vincent continues to swim and nerd out in his free time.
